Join us for our next Author’s Evening with Kath Crew (AKA Kathy Howat, Abingdon parent) on Wednesday 5 March from 7.30pm in The Library at SHSK. Kath is a writer and teacher who was President of Cambridge Footlights in the 1980s. Her new novel, ‘A Cactus called Ironside’ draws on her time at university and life growing up in the 1970s. A college reunion 40 years on causes a cascade of secrets to be uncovered. ‘A very funny blast from the 1980s, tasting like the minty-flavoured freedom of our heroine’s menthol cigarettes,’ quotes Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian. Kath will be sharing her insights in writing and the publishing process.
Book signings will be available on the night. Please register here to attend or email shskpa@gmail.com for more details.
