19 August 2026 - An important update about your personal data
We are informing our community of a recent cybersecurity incident involving our database provider, ToucanTech, where an unauthorised third party accessed a backup copy of our database as it stood in August 2024. Please be reassured that our live database remains secure, and no payment card details or usable passwords were involved in this incident.
While we have no evidence of data misuse, we strongly encourage all users to remain vigilant against phishing by exercising caution with unexpected emails, calls, or texts claiming to be from Abingdon or your bank that request personal or financial information. Always verify sender details before clicking any links, as we will never ask you for passwords or sensitive data via these channels.
We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and are working closely with ToucanTech to ensure the continued security of our community data. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Director of Development at oldabingdonian@abingdon.org.uk.

Pupils are on varying levels of support at Abingdon School from 10% to 100% of fees. Those pupils who receive a 100% bursary also receive support for additional costs such as curriculum trips, school bus charges, school uniform and exam fees. This often makes the difference for families. Those who benefit bring fresh perspectives, motivation and inspiration to the whole school.
