The OA Club was delighted to welcome over 100 OAs to the Royal Thames Yacht Club on 17 January 2024 for London Drinks.
Head, Mike Windsor, marked the evening by offering attendees an update on life at Abingdon – the newly opened Pavilion and recent extensions to the boarding houses, which represent the constant development and improvement of school facilities. The OA Club President, Julian Denée (1991), followed the Head, expressing the OA Club’s appreciation for the support of so many OAs. Julian also launched the OA Club’s Work Experience Scheme for the year, and highlighted the imminent publication of the Griffen.
The event saw OAs from a multitude of leaving years united by their shared Abingdon history. They were joined by current and former members of Abingdon teaching staff.
London Drinks continues to be a flagship event for the Old Abingdonian Club.
